MSI 3090 Ventus Driver help please!

Hi all.  I'm hoping someone here can recommend a good and stable driver for IL 2 VR and the 8kx HMD.  I've tried the latest and then some, but I can't get a clear and smooth experience.  I'm on Win 10 Home.  11700K CPU, 32 gigd ram, liquid cooled etc. etc.  Was ther a GOOD 3090 driver prior to the 3090 Ti  driver release?  I have no problem going back as far as necessary.  Anyone with a stable 3090 IL 2 driver?   Thanks a lot everyone.  The lack of stability etc happened with a windows update, I think, although I've never been happy with latest Nvidia drivers..  .  Anyhow, all help is much appreciated....Thanks ..take caare..

I kid of remember a 300 series driver I had that was pretty good.  I cannot remember what it was.  Is a driver as old as the 300 series stiil valid IL 2 VR contender?

Install the card recently? If so did you do a clean wipe of the drivers you had using DDU in safe mode and clean install of latest Nvidia drivers?

No 300 series driver will not work. That is ancient driver.

I've been reading of general performance issues with the latest series of drivers, think it's 516. I've reverted to 512 series on my 3080. But if in doubt absolutely go the DDU route and do a clean install. I also use a utility called NVCleanstall that lets you weed out all the junk within the driver exe you download and just install the driver itself--which is all you really need. For example if you don't use the GEForce experience, you don't have to install it. Just uncheck the box.

I also believe it's Windows.  I had everything maxed out before and no issuesat all.  Problem now is, which Windows update is the cuprit.I'm going to try finding the last 3090 driver released prior to the new 3090 Ti driver.  I think Nvidia put more resources to work on the 3090 Ti drivers, and left the last 3090 driver pretty much as it was.  That may be the driver I need, IF I can find it.  Anyone here know the last 3090 specific driver?  Thanks my friend...take care..

I'm having a bad day.  Not to worry about drivers right now.  The pump on my watercooled 3090 died.   I didn't notice there was no movement in the pump window until I fired up IL 2.  The card shut down immediately.  No signal etc. etc.  I guess I'll get to ordering a new cooling kit.   Thanks all...take care..
