Nickkyboy99 Posted August 13, 2022 Posted August 13, 2022 (edited) Quickly came up with a small list of what I would love to see in the IL-2 GB series. I created this list based on my experiences from playing IL-2 Cliffs of Dover, DCS, and War Thunder. Skin/Camouflage Weathering A scale where you have the ability to adjust your aircraft's skin condition, whether you want it to look old and battle hardened or clean and new. Select Ammo Type Tracer, incendiary, ball, etc. (Even to the point where you can edit your ammo belt order like in Cliffs of Dover) Air Traffic Control Open a GUI where you can request startup, takeoff, etc. Map Tools The ability to add waypoints/markers, measure distances, measure angles, etc in the in-game map (O). Harsher Weather Conditions (Mainly for TC) Heavier snowfalls, thunderstorms, and dense fog. German and Soviet Infantry I know Jason said it won't happen but it would be amazing if we do get them, and I'm sure the entire community would also agree with me. Infantry may seem like a small addition to the game, but personally, it's huge to me and what we currently have, I absolutely love it! More infantry factions and types would make it even better. Search Bar in Controls Settings Narrows down the list after every letter you type in making it easier and faster to find what you're looking for. Italian and Romanian Voice Lines When flying (for ex.) an MC.202 or a Romanian Hs-129, it would be nice if the pilots spoke Italian/Romanian instead of German. Callouts Would be very helpful if your tail gunner or whatever called out an enemy fighter approaching you (from what direction and distance). Also, the dude sitting in the Mosquito, yeah him. He could be useful by calling out enemies too. Customize Pilot/Tank Crew Uniform (different uniforms) Something like in CLoD, it would be a pretty cool addition especially for TC. Other than that, thank you Jason and the dev team for your amazing work. Love the game and can't wait to play on the Normandy and FC2 map! Edited October 17, 2022 by Nickkyboy99 1 11
Flyhighzz Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 A playable navigator position would be neat as well. Your friend can help spot and call out targets. 5
smee_ger_ac Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 (edited) Can't stress callout's enought in the He-111, A-20, Ju-52 and comming DC-3 you have no chance to spot something on your back while in cockpit. And in the Ju-88 and Mosquite the visibility to the rear is bad from the pilot seat. I would like if the AI crew would behave like in the document below. You make the flight plan on ground and your navigator call out something like 138°, 1500ft and 3 min at 200mph to next waypoint / target. And he should be inacurate if you fly in clouds etc. like a real human. I have no problem if you make the "Crew" a collector update for 30-40€ Edited October 18, 2022 by [DBS]smee_ger_ac 3
CosmiC10R Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 I would love to see the AI wingmen callout targets as well as the other things you mentioned including active air traffic control. That would be amazing. It seems like Combat box has that custom AI that does this. Can't tell you how much I would love to see that in SP and campaigns. 2

The AI wingmen are so anti-social, I might as well be flying alone. It would be really cool and much more immersive if the AI flight actually tried to mimic a team. 1
Corralandy120000 Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 I really hope this will happen some day soon. It's something I've been praying for a long time. Anyway, it would be nice if they also add more commands and options like splitting the swarm in two groups and asigning each group the different targets etc. It's seting that older parts of the series (1946, CloD) had.
