Me410 and Arado 234 sights.

Am I missing something here? I can't access the ZFR4 sight on the 410, the dive bombing sight in the 234 with L Shift + V or the periscope on the 234 using R Alt + F, I've tried different key bindings and no joy. These bindings work fine where assigned on everything else. Strange!

I am doing. I mean that I can't look through the telescope or the periscope. I've set three different head heights with the key pad to look through the reflector sight, that's not an issue. I mean that L Shift + V and R Alt + F don't do anything on these two aircraft, as in if I press L Shift + V or R Alt + F nothing happens the view stays the same. They work fine on everything else.

It's left Shift +V, not right shift +V

I know, my typo sorry!?  I would add that, when fitted,  the Lotfe level sight works fine pressing L Shift + V as it does in all other bombers but can't access the dive sight with the same key binding.

Are you closing the canopy? The peri / telescope don’t work if the canopy of the plane is open

They only work with some armament configurations (basically, the options will only work if the relevant gunsight is installed).

Stuvi, the dive bombing sight, is not like the regular bombsight. It's just a regular gunsight, with dive bombing  aid added to it. You don't look through it like through a bomb sight, or a telescopic sight. 

By default, in planes with STUVi sight, the head position is a bit higher, to be able to see the dive bombing reticle. If you adjust and save the head position, to be aligned with the shooting crosshair, you won't see the drop bomb reticle. 

Let me show you.

Default head position when using stuvi ( i circled the dive bombing reticle):

Here i lowered the head position to be able to see the gunsight. You can't see the diving reticle if you save your head position here

 

And finally the Stuvi sight in ARADO was modelled like a regular bomb sight and you can access it with Left Shift +V,  because the 3d model of the sight was no ready yet, but it functions the same.

 BTW. You access stuvi in arado when you take bombs, but don't take the Lofte .

In Me410 Stuvi is there everytime you take bombs.

I do know how the Stuvi works. I've set three head views for the different sights so I am using them correctly.  I have the correct sight fitted in each instance. What I am saying is that even using the correct bound key strokes the ZFR4 sight zoom view and the Stuvi zoom view i.e. this one  isn't there after pressing the appropriate key. It's not a question of my not knowing what I'm doing it's why am I not getting the zoom views?

Well, since you're not getting the views you're supposed to get, the most likely explanation is that you are in fact doing something wrong

Are you quite sure the aircraft has the relevant bombsight fitted at the moment you try to use it? And are you sure you're pressing the correct keys? Double-check your keybindings.

 

If you answer "yes" to both questions, it *could* be that your keybindings got corrupted with the new keybindings system (I've seen one or two posts for people for whom this was the case, and Jason warned of the possibility beforehand). In that case, you should completely delete your keybindings file and recreate it from start.
