=IRFC=Eccho Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 (edited) I have spent a few hours experimenting with the new infantry detachments. I really like them and feel that they can bring a lot to the game in general. I've discovered some issues/inconveniences with the infantry in my experimentation. I have three items. 1. Soliders are too tanky. Each solider takes at least 4 hits from a 30 cal MG. They are extremely difficult to kill using WW1 aircraft guns, even balloon guns. 2. Only the center man of the detachment is targeted. Results in situations where 50 soldiers are shooting at one detachment but cannot kill it. 3. Only WW2 British and American skins. While this is a minor inconvenience I think it would be cool to see soldiers of all nations for WW1 and WW2. Some variety in equipment would also be a nice addition, eg AT weapons. IMO these changes would make the infantry a lot better to work with. Hope they can be developed some more. Echo Edited August 12, 2022 by -332FG-Echo- 5
Falcon41 Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 -332FG-Echo- If you don't mind me asking, where did you find the "new infantry detachments"? Falcon41

Falcon41 Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 -332FG-Echo- Thanks for the quick reply. By the way I noticed in your nickname you use the 332 FG, any interest in the Tuskegee Airmen in that name? I developed a set of missions based upon their activities in Tunisia and Sicily which Off_Winters included as part of his Kuban Autumn Nth Africa Desert Beta Mod. You just might be interested. Regards, Falcon41
migmadmarine Posted August 13, 2022 Posted August 13, 2022 The current amount of rounds they take to kill is concurrent with the current damage model of player pilots/crews too, it currently takes 4 303 rounds to the torso or 2 7.62 rounds to the head to kill a pilot.
Nickkyboy99 Posted August 13, 2022 Posted August 13, 2022 (edited) It does make sense having the infantry strong and 'tanky' They're robots! When hit, they create sparks and make a metallic sound ? Edited August 13, 2022 by itzzjohnny 1
Bonnot Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Robots or not, those guys are an excellent addition to the game, they can revive interest to TC.... Are they coming in ordinary missions / quick battles or only by Editor or Mods ??? If to heavy for programmers to create various detailed uniforms, why not using generic forms with cammo, greycoats, etc... for use in covers ?? not really good for close view but this may avoid sad GB vs US duels.. ? 1
Flyhighzz Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 They really need to fix their health, it's actually quite difficult killing them. 1

They need to be Immortals if they have to charge standing in Line in the open, just miss the drums and flying colours to be Napoleonics ...... Anyway, where do you find them to play ... ?
