Wonder if there will be some leather jackets on ebay to make up the shortfall. The chart shows at 2.09. I hope they are sweating buckets.

Is there a middle finger emoticon?

The video is already obsolete. The Evga 3090Ti price has now increased by several hundred $ As stock diminishes the prices will go up on the most desirable cards.

Well.... what do they expect?

I just bought an RTX 3070 for €579 (minus €20 cash-back) and just for §hits and giggles I opened the price-history for this very model (Gigabyte RTX 3070 Eagle OC, 3-fan cooler, but still a near bottom-rung 3070).

If I had bought the card when I built this new PC of mine in late March, it would've been over €1,200, had it been in stock. Last price point before that (where the card was available) was back in Jan 22 when it was over €1,300. And the absolute peak was Nov 21 when it was going for €1,500.

So one thing is clear, IMO and that's the fact that Nvidia was still making a killing on these cards because, obviously, some folks were still buying them, even at these loonie tunes prices. Plus they are still going at above MSRP (should be ~€500 over here for the 3070) and *now* regular folks/gamers like me seem to be buying a ton of the things. When I ordered mine this morning, the dealer still had more than 5 in stock, an hour later the card was sold out. So... in my non educated opinion, they're probably still making enough profit to buy all the leather jackets in the world.

*And*, if the leaks are to be believed, they're also already maneuvering with the 40xx launch to make sure they'll still get maximum prices for the 30xx cards still in stock and they will probably make another killing when they do launch the 4080 or 4090 for an insane price. Because some folks just can't resist getting that new halo-card right when it launches, even if it costs more than their entire PC and all the peripherals attached to it.

So... yeah... middle-finger emoji, indeed.
