Parachute death

I've seen other discussions on how fragile the pilot can be on ditching or even making a slightly rough landing.

 

The last several times I have bailed out over woodland, my pilot dies on landing. In real life, parachuting into a forest can be slightly dangerous, but it is far from being a death sentence as in the game. Can anything be done about this?

Yeah if the devs up the pilot durability. Otherwise it’ll keep happening. They die hitting water to I think.
