Custom Profiles Issues

I just started experimenting with the custom input capability. Something I noticed immediately when trying to set a custom profile for the I-16 is that the flip-down trigger on my joystick lowers the flaps. I tried resetting it to control "Fire Group 2" when the trigger is squeezed and it does that but still simulanteously lowers the flaps. I cannot find where this binding to flaps comes from as I have always have flap operation bound to other keys. Also, when starting missions where I fly the I-16 the Global Profile seems to get loaded instead of the custom I-16 profile. If I set up a custom profile for the I-16 shouldn't the game load that profile preferentially? Each time I go into the settings menu while in-game I need to scroll down from "Global" tab to select the I-16. If that is how the system is designed to function I admit to being surprised.

1) If there's a duplicated assignment, resetting fire control function in itself will not remove the other one (orange square will still be visible). I'd clear all assignments related to weapon and flaps functions and try setting them up again.

 

2) No, that's not how the system is supposed to work. Once you bind custom profile to chosen airplane in "Profile Assignments" options screen, it should stick and it should be auto-loaded every time you choose this airplane again.

 

I don't own I-16 so can't check how it works. Who knows, maybe you've found a new bug, but other guys have to confirm.

I’ve worked thru duplicated key binds for I-16 and Spitfire Vb. Yes, I found the icon in the setup menu that enables preferential loading of a custom profile before mission start. Thanks!
