sonicviz Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 (edited) Hi, I've search but can't find an obvious answer to my Q: How to change default Cockpit FOV wider for all planes at once. The default cockpit FOV is too narrow for me in flatscreen, and having it wider helps with SA when switching camera views. However, it's a pita to manually do it for every plane and every snapview, changing FOV, then F10 each time. Is there a simple way to adjust the default cockpit FOV somewhere, or mod, bc I can't find one? Thanks! Edited August 8, 2022 by sonicviz
Majpalmer Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 Have you tried zooming it in and out? I have that control on a wheel on my throttle so I can zoom out and in depending on circumstances.
sonicviz Posted August 8, 2022 Author Posted August 8, 2022 (edited) I left out "at once": How to change default Cockpit FOV wider for all planes at once. Zoom resets every time you change snapview, unless you've gone through manually and F10'd each snapview with the new FOV. It's a pita to have to change FOV for every snapview for every plane every time you want to change the cockpit FOV. So every plane is you have to - change snapview - hold it - zoom to preferred FOV - F10, repeat for every snapview for every plane. There are a lot of planes in the game, and it's annoying to do every time you try a new plane, when it could easily be configurable. I can't for the life of me understand why this game doesn't have a setting to configure your preferred default snapview FOV. Go to settings, change snapview FOV by slider, bang, every plane snapview modified automatically. I know I'm not the only one who's asked about this over time. Edited August 8, 2022 by sonicviz
S10JlAbraxis Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 The first time I fly each plane I zoom out to 120% turn off Tracker IR and hit F10 then turn on Tracker IR. Takes about 10 seconds and it is done forever. Having a setting for all planes at once would be nice but I can think of many enhancments I would rather have addressed first.
RossMarBow Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 You have to spawn in the plane hit zoom out Then hit the save something button - I think it is head position I do it with headtracking etc. off so I don't end up with some wack off centre default position Do it for every plane and you good Easiest way to do it is on a multiplayer training server like combat box or berloga that lets you choose from all the different planes
