JU88 cockpit clutter

Could the devs make  the Ju88 cockpit so that we could move the gunner on the right and his machine gun out of the way so we can see the instrument panel? Maybe make the gunner and gun only appear when he is engaging in combat? Otherwise we cant see the guages to fly the plane by instrument. If this has been covered already, could you link the other thread. I fly with tech tips turned off and would like to keep that level of immersion.  Or at least stow away the spent ammo piping.  I used to be able to just barely see the instruments before, but it seems the pilot range of motion has been reduced.  Thanks

If would be interesring to know if historically, the mg or at least the spent capsules bag could be stowed away. I doubt it was standard practice though.

It has been a while since I played but if it helps, what I did (every flight so it is a bit of a hassle) was to jump to the gunner seat, point the gun down and left, and jump back. It is mostly unubstructed that way.

i have seen pictures where the ammo collection tube is removed and the gun stowed tucked up against the window. None the less, all positions in the 88 have a very limited field of movement. Even compared to all other planes. you cant even look down and see the controls on the left side of the  cockpit.

Some people are so messy.

Even with trackir I have a tough time reading the gauges. If the front gun could be removed thatd be a nice option. Ive never seen the gunner man it in time for it to be useful, and im not chasing down fighters like scharfi.

Yeah, the movement limits need to be expanded.  What's weird, is by pressing inset//home/delete/end/pageup/pagedown, I can go further than what trackIR will allow me to go to on it's own; so if head tracking could at least go to those limits, it would help somewhat.

I was gonna say I don't have the same problem... but I'm an old school hat user so use keys to move forward to see the engine gauges properly... weird that TIR doesn't have same range of motion. Is that same for VR?

In VR I see the gauges when I move my head to a position where it is possible, just like in real life. From the normal position, right engine gauges are covered.

Also it seems that since the introduction of the C-6 model, the view is more restricted now also on the A-4.

Lol. Yeah, it really helps me stop blowing my engines to bits ?

By the way - It'd also be great to have the ability for the pilot to fire the forward firing gun when it is locked forward (real feature... hence the gunsight).

As for the clutter - simple solution... lengthen the wingtips a bit, and give it a new cockpit - Ju-188... :)

Clod had that gun optional. You could choose not to bring it along. It was not only obscuring the view. But it is hardly no room for two without it   And it is not efficient enough to keep

I would like as said , if one should keep it, one should use it.

You guys are managing your own engines?!!! ?

You are leaving a lot of performance on the table if you don't.
