flugkapitan Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 (edited) Hi Pat, I just wanted to let you know for the past 4 or so missions in the He111 H6 of I./KG53 stationed at Bolshoe Vergovo, beginning around 12.24.1941 and continuing to 02.03.1942, regardless of whether I'm the flight leader or not, one of the Heinkels just taxis around in elongated circles on the airfield, sometimes running into another aircraft of the flight. Most of the time, none of the other aircraft in the flight takeoff either. I fly single player campaigns. I was wondering if there is a fix for this. Cheers, Scott Edited August 2, 2022 by flugkapitan Typo
RedeyeStorm Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 You are not making clear if this is with runway starts or taxi. If the latter it is a known bug of Il2 that the developer can only fix. Use runway starts.
flugkapitan Posted August 2, 2022 Author Posted August 2, 2022 Sorry about not clarifying that, I always do runway starts.
Varibraun Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 1 hour ago, flugkapitan said: I always do runway starts. Unfortunately, some of the runways don't play nice, especially in the winter. This is a known issue for Pat and has no solutions right now. The easiest workaround is to use air starts until your squadron is transferred or spring arrives. Discussed a few months ago here:
flugkapitan Posted August 2, 2022 Author Posted August 2, 2022 Hi guys, Thanks for replies! Air Starts or spring I guess it is then ? I hope that issue is on Team Jason's list to fix. Cheers, Scott 2
354thFG_Leifr Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 (edited) According to LukeFF, the AI is perfectly functioning and capable of taking off from a parked position. ? Unfortunately you will have to use airstarts or runway starts, especially during winter, as the AI is incapable of taxiing properly or taking off under some circumstances. There is nothing more PWCG can do for the game in this regard. Edited August 15, 2022 by Leifr 1
