Ptolemy_Soter Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Hi ! Our P-40 is modeled with an Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIb radio mast which is a questionable choice as it is a field modification. At least one aircraft was configured like that, Boris Safonov's one : https://massimotessitori.altervista.org/sovietwarplanes/pages/lendlease/p-40/tapani/p-40e/safonov.htm The common P-40 E-1 (99% of them) flew in their standard configuration with radio wires and no mast. Thus I would like to submit clear photos to the devs, hoping such standard radio wires to be added. I've found two configurations on Russian aircrafts: 3 wires from fin to fuselage and both wingtips. 2 wires from fin to fuselage and port wingtip. I've found clear photos of wingtips attachment points but nothing for the fuselage Can anybody help me ?

Ptolemy_Soter Posted August 4, 2022 Author Posted August 4, 2022 Thanks all ! Only two major changes occured during P-40 E production. Introduction of flared exhaust stacks (like on P-40 K) and installation of a larger vertical stabilizer. The radio mast is a field modification, P-40 E-1s delivered via lend-lease arrived in Russia in their factory configuration. Moreover our model has the mast of an Hurricane.
