plepew Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Description of low FPS/stuttering I encounter: On occasion, the game seems to drop frame rates for no obvious reason (e.g., no sudden huge number of enemy AI planes spawning or looking towards a dense scenery area). It can happen at the end of a quick mission after all the enemy planes are gone and I'm RTB'ing. In those situations, hitting the time acceleration "]" once and then dropping back to normal time works like a charm. My machine is a bit on the modest side: i5-4440 @3.1GHZ, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Super 4GB VRAM, 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD (use TrackIR - the poor man's VR headset!), Windows 10 64bit. Most of my settings are in the mid range and I keep frames locked at 50fps. To the credit of 1C dev's, I generally get nice smooth frame rates even in furballs with 25+ AC flying (impresses me). To be sure if I'm flying a scripted mission with a ridiculous number of things going on at once, my system will take a knee, and this fix doesn't apply in those situations. Hope this helps. 1
