Accounting for crosswind with dead reckoning

I can get around pretty reliably with dead reckoning, but I'm no master of it. Is there some rule of thumb for calculating how many degrees to adjust course to account for crosswinds?

Hardly rule of thumb but an E6-B Flight Calculator or maybe one of these?

I use a rule of thumb I learnt back in flight school. Relies on max drift which is worked out by the windspeed divided by the amount of miles per minute you travel. Then you just apply the clock code to it, if it's 15 degrees off you use 1/4max drift, 30 degrees off you use 1/2 max drift, 45 degrees off use 3/4 max drift and 60 degrees off use all max drift.

Eg

Travelling 240mph means you travel 4 miles per minute meaning if there is a 20mph wind then the max drift will be 5 degrees.

Wind 30 degrees off the nose use 2.5 degrees.

Might sound complicated but is super useful however as you can see from this example, the correction you need to make for wind tends to be small for the distances flown in the game so your rough eyeball of the heading with little to no wind correction will most likely be good enough.
