kingeider Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 I currently have 2 vkb sticks the gladiator for IL-2 of course and the nxt stick for dcs also have virpil throttle wanted to keep both sticks connected for switching between simulators just dont want to cause key map issues with both games any thoughts or am i good to go!
Sokol1 Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 (edited) If you map the Gladiator only in IL-2 and NXT only in DCS, no issues. What you can't do is map the axes of both in one of these games, this cause conflict in commands (aileron, elevator, rudder, throttle...), but map the buttons is OK map. BTW - DCS will attempt to assign Gladiator axes automatically - what result a mess, but is just matter of clear this assignments. Edited July 28, 2022 by Sokol1
dburne Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 You could also do what I do - use a powered USB Hub with individual on/off switches. I just switch on the device I will be using for that session.
kingeider Posted July 28, 2022 Author Posted July 28, 2022 i just unplugged the nxt at the base of the stick

paul_leonard Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 Cool. But I’m with dburne. Easier…. But less cool.

Many have problems with USB Hubs whether powered or not. Mine all work straight off the MB and there is no Hub branching out multiple plug ins off of one supply connection on the MB. If one is building their own PC then the question of how many USB ports one needs should be calculated during the planning phase and the correct number of USB hookups should be provided for on the MB. Not bragging or being an ass, my MB has 8 physical ports on the back and two supplemental hookups on the MB. I bought a 4 Usb direct connect Optical drive bay module(it's not a hub, you have to be careful what you buy) that supplemented the two USBs ports on the front of the case. Thus giving me 14 USB hookups. Food for though for anyone building a PC and that has high demands for USB ports. Or, you could buy a powered hub. S!Blade<>< 1
