Moore's law. It is a talk mainly about the Intel GPU BUT they go into direct X versions which might explain a bit AMD?

Basically it may explain why the AMD cards struggled a bit with a DirectX 11 games if I understand what he is saying? What happens in the future as D11 falls further into the past?  Too many old games for the big 3 to dump DX11 support?

API test/discussion Skip to 18:16, then around 18:50 you get an api chart showing draw calls if I am right.

The DX12 support for newer games and the try not to play old DX11 games on the Intel card for now.  He talks a bit about AMD. That starts around 46:46

At this point, I suspect it is a separate issue from what Il-2 is seeing, because we don't see this issue with other comparable Dx11 titles, and don't see it with the RDNA1 products.

I suspect something is not playing well with the Infinity Cache system. If that is the case, I would also expect us to see it show up in Il-2, though possibly to a lower degree, when Lovelace and RDNA3 hit shelves, as both of them are using infinity cache type systems, albeit of much larger cache sizes.

Thank you for chiming in.

Early days yet, but I keep hearing how AMD will likely win the efficiency contest with CPU/GPU, but I was not happy about the IL-2 benchmark results.

I was on a site that calculates power/psu requirements and for an Intel 12 series with a 3090 the power requirement in watts was high 900's to 1100 watts.  So I really want AMD to do better performance wise while being efficient, especially if the power numbers for Nvidia are close to true.

For those of us in North America, your 15amp fused wall outlet does have an upper limit.

Well, hopefully the IL-2 devs know what it is between the game and the Cache.
