SIA_Mal Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 Hi there, i have a Rift-S and trying to get rid of SteamVR. The SteamVR verision of VRnecksafer works fine, but i got low fps. Installed the beta 2 version for openxr wich i understand should work with OpenComposite, buttons assigned but nothing happens in game. So, can it work or still in development? Is there s step by step guide to make it work?

According to the instructions i need to stop Mixed-Reality-Portal and copy the OpenXrApiLayer folder to %ProgramFiles%. I see 2 problems, i dont have Mixed Reality Portal and i dont have the folder OpenXrApiLayer. So all i have to do is create the folder and copy the files there?
FTC_horsky Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 (edited) When I used the RiftS and when Opencomposite came out there was another solution to VRNS, but still SteamVR, you rebound wand input rotations to hotas buttons. I thought the rotation angles was way more beneficial than the increased performance boost from OC so I left OC alone. VRNS came and couldn't tango with OC, so left that alone again, so I got myself the g2 as soon as it was released. Thats my experience with Oculus and OC. Maybe Quest2 users could drop an input if its possible? Edited July 26, 2022 by SvAF/F16_horsky
Drano Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 You're not using VRNS with OC. That version is incompatible. You must use the newer XRNS with OC.
