Check your motherboard manual for the slot or sata port you have the new hard drive connected to see if it is effected by other factors. Right click on the Windows icon in lower left and select Disk Management. What is the status of the new hard drive? Edited July 21, 2022 by Gordon200
jollyjack Posted July 21, 2022 Posted July 21, 2022 Actually i think it's start, type in search 'computer management', and then select disk management. Most times you'll have to set things up in your Mothereboard's BIOS first for M2 SSD drives. Indeed a SATA port usually has to be assigned, thereby disabling it for other SATA connectors. If it's a Samsung M2 you'll find Samsung Magician a great tool.
