Maybe I'm behind the times. This is for those of us that don't know. like me.

But when I first got my G2, I immediately notice a color shift. I found out what was causing it but no way to fix it. I actually gave up looking for a fix.

I found this article recently by Neil (1000x Thank you, Neil) and it will guide you to test (which of the 3 colors is causing the problem, or 2 or all of them)

and how to adjust your HMD. (It's easy)

Seems Microsoft put the code in to fix it, but actual adjustment is your problem. Adjusting them can be a little tricky, so he's made it much easier with a

downloadable tool.

A couple of things I messed up on (no big deal) was once you download Neil's program, you must, right click on the icon and "run as administrator" (The first time thru I forgot)

and it won't work until you do.

secondly after you've made your adjustments, take your HMD off and move it away from you and then put it back on to see the change. The change only happens after you take the

HMD off and put it back on. Strange I know. (The HMD has a location sensor in it.)

In Neil's tool

You will see; Green 1.000  Red 1.000  Blue 1.000

I adjusted mine to ; Green 1.000  Red 0.990  Blue 1.010

this is just to show you my results, yours may vary. And the results are great! Whites are actually whiter. More clean. Looking at vehicles parked on the air fields looked sharper.

I know a lot of verbiage.

I don't know if I can link the page here so you can just search Google.

How is this different from OpenXR toolkit?

Since I am not familiar with OpenXR...I can't really speak on that.

When the G2 HMD first came out I searched for a solution, and gave up looking until just recently, and discovered this solution.

Interesting, I tried to be as clear as possible, yet left out the name of the tool. It's WMR Traytool.

Like I said, I'm probably behind the times. The traytool also has many other features besides CA correction.

Interesting thread, thank you @newbravado.

Could any HP G2 owner suggest his best colors setting in OPENXRtoolkit?

Thanks
