Current Mods suggestions for terrain please

Hey Everyone,

          Ive got pretty much the works with IL2 and Tank crew and have been dabling a bit with a few mods to give it a bit more eye candy. I have a PC that handles it quite well.
But as with many mods some are good but conflict, or some look fantastic but have lost support for whatever reason. I'm not asking for the best of the best or everything I can throw in, but a couple of main mods that have the best effect overall. 
         Ive tried a few different Grass mods, HD and different heights and coverage. Have some great AC and Tank skins that some talented modders have released with some HD cockpit textures.
Would really like to know what is the best visual grass that people would suggest? that really is my main critique, what seems to give the best results for the latest build.
Please remember its eye candy Im looking for, not anything that gives me an advantage in multiplayer or against the enemy. Oh should say although I do have VR, I actually prefer Track ir as I also use a 49' monitor in a simracing/Flight style rig set up, once again its about the visuals.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I'm aware, there's not a lot but these two should be working.

Personally, I don't quite like the grass that we get, no matter the mod.

 

And there was this one, which looked rather promising... but I think it stopped at the "proof-of-concept" state.

I'm running cosmetic only mods... this is what I currently got going on... I play around with different mods here and there.

Thanks All very much, all very good information, much appreciated will look at every option offered, thank you.

Have had this sim for quite some time and its pretty rewarding to get it looking a little bit better everytime. Unfortunately comes with it is conflicts and current mods left out of date for whatever reason. Always good to get a fresh start and clean house, Having been away from the sim for some time many previous mods no longer work.
But how good does this sim look nowadays. Thanks everyone for the help.

@Bulldog7 Each to their own with Mods but this is what I use after coming back to the game recently and updating to the latest version..

Just an fyi, Blind and Vulnerable gunners has not been updated by Rieper_420 for several patches now. I posted my own updated version back in May/June as a helping hand to people but haven't done so since as I rolled such things into the AI Gunnery mod. So if you want to use the old Blind and Vulnerable gunners mod you will need to update both the files (their structure changed slightly) and add the new aircraft.
