What do the numbers in brackets after the aircraft types in inventory mean?

"(7+)", "(13+)", etc.

 

Can't work it out or find an answer online and am a bit baffled...

These are the tactical codes allocated to each aircraft - once tactical codes for all aircraft types are added to the game, they'll be visible in-game

When you say, "tactical codes", do you mean the squadron numbers of the individual a/c?

 

If so, why are there 2 x G-14 (8+)?

Different countries use different combinations of letters, numbers and symbols.  That is sort of a regex expression for allowed values.  The tactical codes will only work on certain planes and certain skins.

So these are indeed the individual a/c tactical IDs then?

 

If so, what are the skin mgt. criteria within PWCG required to be able to see these IDs on the a/c in-game?  I.e. what do you need to do, in order for these IDs to appear on the actual a/c in-game?

 

And lastly, as per previous question: why are there 2 x (8+) in the screenshot above?

You need to wait for the decal system to be implemented on the aircraft by the devs, everything is released since the P-51B (If I remember right) has the system. The rest will need it added, I imagine after Normandy releases.
