Are We The Baddies IL2 Campaign.

I've only ever flown FC or Bodenplatte. 

This is my first foray into the eastern front. I mostly did this as I find the Bodenplatte map incredibly boring and after 100 hours of that map and the ww1 map I needed some change of pace. 

 

Never flown a German plane in IL2 or on any eastern front map. I have flown the 3 German planes in DCS, but never IL2.

 

Karl Bruckmann has just arrived at JG 51 in a spanking new Fw190A3.

 

Here are his first 4 missions.

 

A scramble over the airfield,  his first kill.

 

A rather botched bomber escorts,  the bombers were far ahead, we had barely taken off before the Russian donkeys shot down 1/3 of the bombers. But Bruckmann got his 2nd kill.

 

Incoming Ivans are attacking our front line. The Russian planes soak up a hell of a lot of damage, and are single-minded, even as their planes are getting ripped apart, they stay on mission and attack the ground forces. Bruckmann gets his 3rd kill.

 

What was supposed to be a ground attack mission,  ends up as 3 different running dog fights (with a half-hearted ground attack interlude) again the Russian planes just soak up damage. Bruckmann, shoots up 6 planes, but get only 2 kills. But it's enough to make him an ace in 4 missions.
