Start / stop recording with button on my hotas?

Is that possible?

I think it was L alt + R to record but how do I bind that to a button on my hotas?

I looked at the keybinds for different things about video in the game but could not find anything there.

Any help will be appreciated.

I have the track record button bound to one of the buttons that controls the digital display on my X-52 Pro.   Look under "Service" section of the keybinds menus.  If I recall correctly, the record command should be listed there.  To bind the key should be the same as binding any HOTAS key in the menus.

You need the IL2 Record utility too, it lets you keep recording after 499Mb have been saved. Otherwise you have to keep hitting LAlt + R to record.  The readme in the set up will explain how to use it in IL2. Easy Peasy...  And its not really a mod but a utility, Multiplayer will not kick you and you do not need to enable Mods in game.

I was looking at the wrong section! I thought it would be in the camera controls, that is why I couldn't find it.
