Good day fellow aviation enthusiasts!

so I love the ability to fly at night.. the cockpit lighting of these ship are very nice and with the banding issue pretty much gone… just wow..  I’ve only touched on it for a few quick mission sorties…

However, navigation… how?

we have sort of directional beacons to nearest airfield, but setting headings in the HSI or using gyro compass in Brit planes is not a thing…

there’s no calling in for runway directions or comms per airfield in general..

there are no runway lights/fires or visual aids for landing at night..  just your landing light on your ship, if you have one..

with the new Normandy map,“night fighters”, and other ships in general that have proper navigation equipment, I’m hoping we will have the ability to fly VFR/IFR at night..

flying in vr..

some map tools would be nice as well.  Possibly the ability to plot course lines before you take off or even just a click and drag ruler for baring and range?

I like to fly without GPS on the map.

Try not to use any hud except for chat messages in mp..

VFR and dead reckoning is second nature for me…  basic IFR through cloud layers is simple enough..

looking forward to night bombing raids in new Normandy map…

At the moment I do preflight planning before jumping in the ship and staring up..

I don’t want to have to use third party programs outside of game and vr..

im wondering how others manage, any Bats out there that have a system for night nav… without moon light…?

IFR and dead reckoning. Not ideal. I wish my Mossie nav would get off his arse and help…

There have been spotlights and fires illuminating runways since the start of career mode. ?
