Need some Java install help

Ok, so I’m trying to get going for the first time on PWCG. I downloaded and installed the program, but I’m getting the “you need Java runtime” error.

 

I downloaded the current V8 JRE file, downloaded the windows 64 bit installed and ran it successfully. 
 

Now I’m trying to run PWCG again and I’m still getting the same Java runtime error.

 

Am I doing something wrong? Am I missing a step (all I did was run the 64 bit installer)? I’m on Win 11 for what it is worth.
