Recenter VR View Control binding doesn't work

I'm trying to bind a button on my throttle to resetting my VR view.     I have bound that button to every single command in the controls that is already bound to Num 5, but Num 5 remains the only way to center my view.

The only way I can seem to get around it is to load up a vjoy+joystick gremlin or xpadder and assign a keypad command.

Effective workaround but, it'd be nice to see a fix for this in game, or if maybe somebody could point me to the command I'm missing?  There are so many camera settings I might be overlooking it.

I have quite a few input devices plugged in at any given time.   So if it's not just me missing something, it would be nice to be able to move this function to my throttle without having to add a virtual device to my list.

Not sure if same issue you are having, but I have VR view reset bound to my throttle and it works 95% of the time.  I have noticed if for some reason the game looses focus in windows it stops working, getting the game window back in focus seems to fix it.

Not at home right now, but will try and check what my bindings are this evening.

I used to use F1, (pilot cockpit view) now I just use a DX keystroke (#27, the "UP" on the TMWH Throttle Thumb Hat) because when I fly DCS I use TARGET SCRIPT, I use TARGET GUI in IL2. So the TIR needs to be universal for both games. You need to untick "Toggled" and see if that works. If the keystroke is used in game for a command sometimes the game and TIR have trouble seeing who it really belongs to. When ever I hit my Center TIR button, and it does not work, I check to see if that Toggle window is checked, if so I uncheck it and it works again. Also make sure the Trap radio button is off too.

  • Enable Checkbox
Turns the associated hotkeys on and off.

  • Toggle Checkbox
Toggled hotkeys are enabled by a single key press and disabled by a second key press. Non-toggled hotkeys require the key to be held down for the hotkey to be enabled and released for the hotkey to be disabled.

  • Trap Checkbox
Trapped hotkeys will not be available to any other programs. Untrapped hotkeys will still perform the hotkey function within the TrackIR software, but can also be simultaneously used in other software that is running alongside TrackIR.
