FTC_Riksen Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 (edited) On the 19th of August 1942, during the well known Dieppe operation, while escorting a group of bombers to the Abbeville airfield, F/Lt. T. K. Ibbotson and his squadron engaged in heavy combat. Although Ibbotson attacked 1 Fw-190, he did not claim any kill for the day. The pilot was KIA in following year whilst riding his motorbike in the Redhill area. Although this profile attempts to recreate the aircraft flown by the pilot, the real life counterpart was a 43 model equipped with the C type armament and did not have broad chord tail rudder.
