KrzysztofB Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Does a mod exist that would allow you to skip the flight to target in campaign missions? Like teleporting to a chosen waypoint?

Like teleporting to a chosen waypoint? Eons ago I played a space game called PRIVATEER. After you left the base with your course set, you hit a key and it warped you to the point of action along the prescribed path. Saved a lot of time. 1
AstroCat Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Can't you put it on Autopilot and increase the speed. I've done this before... 1

I don't do this, as I disable Autopilot on the realism settings, but this would do what your looking for. Especially if you have icons on and pay attention to the map.
jollyjack Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 IL2 calls it Time Scale, keys [ and ] work but ale usually restricted to 2x or 4x depending on complexity of active mission MCUs. An alternative for Autopilot can be Autolevel, L-shift + A, benefit is that you can de activate it with your joystick from Arcade view etc.
SIA_Mal Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 I use the Level Autopilot a lot in campaign mode, and sometimes with the time scale. But on my machine, x4 and x8 are the same.
Mainstay Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Better question is "Is there a way to increase time scale to 16x 32x for example" I have a really good computer so i should be able to do this? Can i change these settings somewhere in the gamefiles? 1
Idontwantanaccou Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Since nobody has mentioned this, as long as you are the squadron leader you can edit the waypoints on the map. Edit the 2nd waypoint (left click and hold on the text) to be as close as possible to your objective, and you'll spawn relatively near there. Doesn't work on escort missions, but otherwise it'll save heaps of time. I hope this helps. 1
GADDY Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 (edited) I just put it into X8 time compression and just fly carefully - if fairly low - until I reach the action. Normally I'd be head down looking at the cockpit dials and brushing up on my hotkeys memory, but at the moment I'm flying a late war campaign, which means a lot of distance to cover and running out of fuel on the return to base leg, if you allow autopilot to fly. At least this is my finding for the Mk14 Spit on long missions. You know how reckless autopilot is on the throttle, so it's a matter of time compression x8, easy on the throttle and sit tight. I'm not in favour of the 'teleport me to the fight, and teleport back to base' type of thing, as I feel part of the immersion factor is in the "I wonder what's waiting for us?" kind of thoughts, on the way to target. Besides, the boys in the real thing had to sit it out, so I'm sure I can sit in my comfy seat with a coffee beside me for the short time it takes to get there. What REALLY gets my goat, is when you've had a good run, maybe even a victory, and on the way back - almost out of ammo and fuel - you get spotted by a couple of 109's on their way back from an escort run and they spot you.
