The team continues to put in a massive amount of work into our upcoming visual update.

 

Our VR team are making good progress, with testers doing a great job helping us produce what we hope will be the outstanding product all VR uses are hoping for.

Well, the developers recently said that... at this stage, trees and vegetation still are as they are in the game as it is at present (SpeedTree version 5.0... I think). SpeedTree version 9.0 has not yet been implemented thus it not visible in those screenshots.

 

SpeedTree has been present in the game for years now. If you played the game in the last years, or even yesterday, and, for example, you steered your aircraft close to a tree... that tree you saw is a 5.0 SpeedTree (an obsolete version of the software). The goal now, for TFs, is to emplement version SpeedTree 9.0 which is, I think, if not the latest, at least one of the latest versions of this software.

Kintaro is correct. Speedtree 9 is being implemented, still in work. Current version in game is Speedtree 5.

From the website speedtree 9 looks incredible!
