What do you do to make the missions use the Bendix radio?

I’ve seen some missions that use them and some where they don’t work at all. I’ve used the ME to poke around, but I couldn’t figure it out.

Do the following:
    1.    Place vehicle object "ndb" (non-directional beacon) at a location and make it a linked entity.
    2.    In the Advanced Properties, set Country to the friendly pilot's country, Beacon channel to 1, and other fields according to your requirements.
    3.    (Optional) To mark the beacon on the map, place an icon translator near the beacon and do the following in the advanced properties:
           •    In the Coalitions table, set the friendly coalitions to True and the enemy coalitions to False.
           •    Set the name and the other advanced properties appropriately.
Note:
•    Where multiple friendly beacons are available, the pilot's radio detects the closest one.
•    Enemy pilots cannot detect a friendly beacon.
•    You can place a friendly beacon in enemy territory. For example, you could create a clandestine transmitter near a target.

I recently found out that it doesn't necessarily needs to be the "ndb" object. At least "fake_vehicle" and one of the trucks (I think the Ford 917) work as well.

Is that a boolean, or does the channel have some other function (though perhaps not developed)?

As far as I'm aware, it's just a boolean (0 being false, 1 being true) for turning on the radio beacon.

As Sketch wrote, it's 0 or 1.

We hope that in the future we can define others numbers which could be others radios frequencies.
