=MERCS=JenkemJunkie Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 (edited) In this picture of the code, what units are the R = .14 and .066 for the bombs/rockets radius in, and how are the pairs of damage numbers supposed to be read in the armor lines? The first bit of code is for the M8 rockets, the lower one is the FAB 100M. I translated the Russian, the answers not in the Russian next to it. Edited June 27, 2022 by =MERCS=JenkemJunkie
AEthelraedUnraed Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 (edited) Is there any reason to assume it's anything else than the SI standard for length, i.e. the meter? I mean, across the whole world there's only three countries that use something else: Myanmar, Liberia and one other that I keep forgetting... Not that it matters though; the ammo files are locked. (Note: the Cyrillic says respectively "radius raketi" and "radius bombi". My Russian isn't very good, but that sounds suspiciously like "rocket radius" and "bomb radius". Hence it must be length.) =MERCS=JenkemJunkie Posted June 27, 2022 Author Posted June 27, 2022 So it's just the radius of the bomb/rocket itself? I was hoping they were using a weird unit for something more interesting like the blast radius.
FlyingH Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Looks to me like it radius in metric R= 0.066 would be D= 132mm, R= 0.14 would be D= 280mm. 1
=MERCS=JenkemJunkie Posted June 27, 2022 Author Posted June 27, 2022 Those numbers would be closeish to the diameters I got from a quick google search. If those are just for the bombs physical radius, does anyone know where to find blast radius and damage in the game files?
CountZero Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 maybe in your IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\(null)\luascripts\worldobjects\explosions\bombs folder 1
=MERCS=JenkemJunkie Posted June 27, 2022 Author Posted June 27, 2022 Thank you, I'm blind and was looking in ballistics not explosions.
