bongotastic Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 I'm playing BoS, only in May '42. The mission debrief loaded up another map (I can see the Black Sea and Sea of Azov) instead of the Stalingrad map. This is persistent for planning the next mission, or viewing the INTEL map. Is there a way to tell PWCG to get back on the BoS map?

You will end up back on the Stalingrad map as things heat up in that area in a few months. I might be wrong, but if you don't want to be in the Kuban area, I think the only way to go back to the Stalingrad Map is to take leave until your squadron is reassigned back there? 2
bongotastic Posted June 26, 2022 Author Posted June 26, 2022 OK, it is weird that this happened while I was flying and that the combat debrief claimed that I took off from a another aerodrome (I assume on the Kuban map). I don't own Kuban yet.
71st_AH_Rob_XR-R Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 You can also request a transfer to a squadron that is still fighting on the Stalingrad front. 1
Thunder_Bat Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 How do you do that? It's January 1944 and I'm stuck on the East1944 map. I know that you can play the Normandy campaign starting March June 1943, but the only squadrons I can transfer to are all on the non-historical East1944 map.

Try this (I don't know if it will work, but is worth a try based on my past experience with flying pilots on both fronts and knowing PWCG sometimes doesn't switch maps internally without a campaign log out/in): 1) Create an American/British pilot in BoN (maybe this will get the western maps active for your campaign) 2) Be sure his squadron is now your "flying squadron," if not make your new Allied pilot your "reference pilot" 3) Log out of the campaign 4) Log back into the campaign 5) Now, make your German pilot your "reference pilot" 6) See if you can now transfer to a Western Front squadron 7) If so, log out of the campaign 8) Log back into the campaign and see if you can generate a mission on the Western Front *Let us know if this works - Good Luck!
