Somewhat to significantly poorer handling is a big backslide with the Me410. The armament options are interesting too. Twin SC500 on the Bf110G-2 hang out on the pylons under the fuselage and are semi-recessed. Meanwhile on the 410 they should fit into the bomb bay but didn't quite make it causing a lot of drag with the doors partially open - no idea how they intend to model that. As for the performance numbers... very interesting to see how those compare.

 

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for the 410. I really want to fly, I want to experience its foibles, and I want to see if we can make it into a more potent weapon than in real life (the tactical situation being somewhat different). But I also want to highlight to the other poster that having an Me410 doesn't somehow grant the Luftwaffe some sort of weird superiority in ground-attack capabilities. He seemed to scoff at the Mosquito which is actually an impressively capable attack airplane.

 

The Allied forces, purely on in-sim capabilities, have an impressive array of options. The P-38J-25 carries more bombs than some medium bombers. The Mosquito is a powerhouse. The Typhoon has immense firepower in a small package. The P-47 can pack a huge array of bombs and guns to target.

 

If anything the Me410 just adds a bit of diversity to the twin engine options for the Luftwaffe in the late war. The Ar234 does that too and it joins the Jabo Fw190s and Bf110. It's not like the balance will suddenly tip. We'll just have more options and I LOVE more options.

I think the Ar234B-2 spam in online servers will die off quickly once the "newness" rubs off.  The lack of a proper gunsight makes the gunpod load out limited in its effectiveness as a fighter/interceptor.  I've flown the Arado in the Bodenplatte career as a bomber only (and it can do a ton of damage that way if you use it right).  As for the the Me410 being a downgrade from the Bf110, I'd say that's only true for dogfighting.  It was designed to a different specification than the Bf110 since it was intended to replace a large number of types in the Luftwaffe inventory.  Its performance will reflect that.

I'm talking about Finnish server for example. Not Berloga. The Finnish server is one (if not the best) server online. If you give a choice to people to choose, then it is normal they will choose the best plane available. It is not Ar234 faučt... Just... With that plane around, every other make no sense to use.
