DFLion Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 The Arado Ar234B has arrived in the game and now we can really bomb the Ludendorff Bridge at Remagen! Mission notes: I have added the Arado’s into my original mission ‘Bomb the Ludendorff Bridge at Remagen’ – there were a few problems with the integration, probably too many planes flying in the mission. I suggest you take-off using your autopilot and take-in the view. I have positioned 6 Arado’s on the runway, occasionally one of them crashes due to engine failure. Me262’s from III./JG27 will support you. Watch out for the flak over the bridge and ‘outrun’ any Allied fighters that ‘latch’ onto you. I have always liked the look of the Arado with its very clean lines. It’s a great addition to our WWII flight sim and was used extensively by the Luftwaffe for high level reconnaissance missions and high and low level bombing attacks. gabuzomeu Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Hello, great subject, I was lookingforward to ? There may be a glitch as my flight takes off from Achmer and not Hopsten as indicated on the map waypoints, And thank you for the many detailed mission you gift us!

Mr. Nitpicky is suggesting you edit above sentense to either Bf 109s from III./JG27 or Me 262s from II./KG51. I´m pretty sure you mean II./KG51 (part of Gefechtsverband Kowalewski). DFLion Posted June 22, 2022 Author Posted June 22, 2022 Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated. Firstly 'gabuzomea', my apologies, I was so keen to post this mission, I forgot to change the waypoints to Achmer where KG76 were based. Secondly, thanks 'Sevenless' you are right the Me 262's are from II./KG51, I will amend the waypoints and text in an update. Great illustration from Jack Fellows, thank you. Before I remade the mission, I watched an old DVD I had 'The Bridge at Remagen' to get into historical situation. This movie stars George Segal, Robert Vaughn, Ben Gazzara and Bradford Dillman. What I like about this movie is the German 'point of view' regarding the situation, which is well portrayed - you really get into the dramatic situation at Remagen during this sad time. DFLion 1 1
DFLion Posted July 1, 2022 Author Posted July 1, 2022 DFLion_Bomb the Ludendorff Bridge at Remagen_Mission 2_Revision1 Attached is my revision of the above mission where I have corrected the 'map track' and tweaked a few things to work better under 'Sneaksie's' upgrade to 4.706b. The Arado is a great aircraft to fly - good luck! DFLion DF_1945_Remagen_Mission_02_Rev1.zip 2 4
