Historical Question: which units used BF109-F1?

Hi,

Concerning the F1 I found only in english Wikipedia Messerschmitt_Bf_109_variants.pdf and in Lexikon der Wehrmacht / JG51 an information, that the F1 was used by 1.Gruppe / JG51 from October 1940.

Does anyone has additional sources for other units that had the F1?

As far as I understand the use was confined to Werner Molders' Gruppe in JG-51.

8./JG26, stationed at St. Brieuc, used the type in 1941 as well.

Overall only 187 F-1s were produced, 137 at Mtt Messerschmitt Augsburg, 50 at WNF Wiener Neustadt.

Aircraft of the two production sites differed visually in a couple details. On the WNF aircraft the supercharger air intake resembled that of the earlier 109E, whereas the Mtt machines already had the more rounded air intake that would become standard on the F-2.
