jlan5031jlan5031 Posted June 20, 2022 Posted June 20, 2022 I've removed my cockpit pilot mod in Mods folder and jsgme from the game. But the figure still appears. How can I get rid of it?
SidtheGit Posted June 20, 2022 Posted June 20, 2022 Did you disable the pilot mod using JSGME before you removed the folder and JSGME? If you didn't and just removed the folder and JSGME then perhaps you left the modded files in game....the pilot will still show as the modded files have over written the originals. If that's the case then maybe reinstalling JSGME and the mod and disabling the mod might work....
jlan5031jlan5031 Posted June 20, 2022 Author Posted June 20, 2022 SidtheGit, Thanks for your quick response. I had disabled the pilot mod earlier, so it wasn't enabled when I went back into jsgme, exe. The only option I was able to find was "delete," so I did that. When I went back to delete from the MOD folder, the PilotinCockpit folder was gone. So, if I understood your suggestion, I cut and removed the jsgme and MOD folder and replaced them anew, and transferred my other mods into the new MOD folder. It didn't work. I did a search of the PilotinCockpit mod to see what was in it that I could find in the BOS folder. Nothing seemed to match. The original BOS folder/files must have been overridden. At this point, I'm at a loss for a solution. When this first became a problem I uninstalled in Steam and reinstalled, but that didn't solve the problem either. Again, thanks for your response. 1
Skycat1969 Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 What happens if you Disable Mods in the game's main menu? My understanding is this mod creates a virtual body for the player while in cockpit view. If you are expecting something different to be enabled/disabled, that perception might need to be resolved. I don't use this mod or JSGME. However, I just downloaded the zip and took a look at what is in the mod's folders. I don't see anything that would necessarily "overwrite" the default files, but it is possible that some of the mod files were copied to the Data folder and they are still there taking precedence over the default files. (I hope that makes sense). If you remove the mod files, the default files locked in the .GTP archives should become the primary files again. So, I'd start by looking in your game's Data\Graphics\Characters folder and see if these subfolders are there: * Any folder that begins with "gunner_" * Any folder that begins with "pilot_" * A folder named "Keyframes" * A folder named "pilotcircus" My modded game does not have these folders, and my guess is these are the mod files that activate the visible bodies. Delete these if they are in your Data\Graphics\Characters folder. Next look at your Data\Graphics\Textures\Common subfolder. My game directory also does not have these files, which are in the pilot mod package: pilop_bf109 pilop_bf109_b pilop_ge_su pilop_ge_su_b pilop_ru_su pilop_ru_su_b piloprus piloprus_b If you have these, delete them. The final part is files in Data\Luascripts\Worldobjects\Bots. For reference, I do have similarly named versions of many of the files that are found in the pilot mod -- but I think mine are from the blind/vulnerable gunner and AI dogfight mods. If you have a bunch of files named "botgunner_" and "botpilot_" I recommend you delete the entire bots folder. 1
