New supply aviation payload (for AAA trucks)

Greetings!

Recently, I bought and tested AAA trucks of the Soviet and German sides. And I must say, I liked it. It's a funny thing to shoot at attacking aircraft from the ground. It is also interesting to see the simulator from another side (besides aviation and tanks). Then I had an idea that was formed on the experience of playing on the Finnish Virtual Pilots server, which is more high populated now, and which fully implements all the game mechanics - the interaction of aviation, ground, and supply.

While playing as an AAA gunner, it's often impossible to hold correct preempting and most amount of ammo misses the target, especially if the target is high, or passes by at high speed. Sometimes such a shooting becomes psychological manipulation - to drive enemy away (you can see how enemy dives lower to ground, and goes away, evading shells), or for highlighting enemy aircraft for allied ones in case of low altitude dogfight. In general, what i got from it - you need a huge amount of shells. And this is possible only by staying at spawns close to ammo supply trucks. Btw, they become targets often for ground attackers at spawns. Concluding this, it makes no sense to ride away somewhere from spawn while being AAA truck player. You don’t really want to drive 10..20..30 mins to capturing point, or somewhere else, and then less in a minute dump all the ammo, and become useless unit...

What i suggest to.

Besides dummy paratroopers what affect on gameplay indirectly, measured just as a score points that move the frontline, i suggest to add new payload option for already available Ju-52, and upcoming C-47 - droppable ammo crates, or something like that. For example, several ammo crates that can be dropped out separately (not in a row) from aircraft by parachutes, which will give you such an ability in a certain radius on the ground as ammo trucks does it. Such a crates that can be spotted lying in grass on the ground. For example, you can ask in voice comms or chat someone to bring ammo supply crates to designated location. Or take supply aircraft by yourself and to drop crates were you need. And after that to take an AAA truck and drive to that location. In case of knowing that ammo supply crates are lying somewhere at capturing point or fortification, you can easily go there and provide a defence for tanks from ground attackers. In the current situation, the only thing you can do is just to jump from one spawn to another and keep standing close to ammo trucks...

I think this feature will expand not only the interaction of supply aviation pilots with AAA gunners, but tankmen will also get one more target to defend/destroy.

What do think about it?

If the objects can have RRR values I guess that would work and be a nice touch to game play. I am always looking for ways to "think outside the box" strategy wise and this is a nice idea.

Agreed. A good idea - would suggest to add the yellow smoke to the crate to help locating it from the ground through trees etc, and that it would only provided limited ammo so would require resupply.

Would possibly create an interesting dynamic trying to drop ammo to an aa vehicle suppressing an airfield with both planes and tanks having to work together to prevent.

Cool suggestion!

With the C-47 and ,mLi-2 coming this is even more relevant.
