Bomber career path and missions

Hello all,

 

Right now I am playing a Russian Pe2 and German Ju88 career on Moskou. A couple of patches ago many mission profiles have changed to lower altitudes and now level bombing takes mostly place at 1500 meters. The only missions at 3000 meter have been bridge attacks (so far). The problem with 1500 meters is that you are well within range of the lower calibre canons and the lead planes (at hard difficulty) get  massacred.

 

I play at hard because only at that level enemy airplanes sometimes get pass the escorts so I get to shoot the guns. I cannot change the altitude because I am not the squadron commander as I am moving up through the rankes. Further more I noticed that both enemy aircraft and AAA guns focus almost exclusivly at the flight lead. At hard level that guy never survives.

 

It would help if level bombing would take place above 2500 meters at least during day time. Furher more it would be nice if the cloud levels could be taken in consideration because I had a couple flights were we flew almost entirly within the clouds.

I enjoy flying bombers as well and highly recommend that if you want a bomber career, use Pat Wilson's Campaign Generator. You can alter the flight altitude along with many other aspects. Makes for a much more enjoyable career!

Thanks. I know of PWCG and fly it as well. It’s just that the career mode is part of the game and I wanted to give some feedback on possible improvements.
