Maybe a bug, or maybe a subtle hint that they plan to make both AI planes flyable? Which would be great. Who knows.

It's been like this forever with the B-25. I'm going with bug. The interface is really designed around everything being flyable and we now have two aircraft that are exceptions to this rule.

But I do want this to be true... I want to fly both :)

For the Pacific, and the USN, there is a bomber that is now almost totally forgotten, that served all over that theater, did good work, and would be a nice thing to have.  The Lockheed Ventura.

That would require two careers, so I can name one pilot Jesse and the other guy Ace.

Makes sense for 1941-1943 time period in ETO and replaying Operation Oyster - The 1942 Eindhoven Raid. RAF faded them out by 1943 and replaced them with Mossies. Last one IIRC flew operational 09/1943.

My father flew the Lockheed Ventura during WWII (a more powerful version of the Lockheed Hudson) Dad always said it was  a tricky aircraft to start, if you didn't follow the procedure correctly you would get an engine fire! Dad went onto say that it was a great aircraft to fly. He then went onto B24 Liberators and flew 39 missions in the Pacific, Dad peacefully died 2 years ago, aged 98 - he was a good man.

There is a C-60 version currently parked on the tarmac just outside my office building.

Guys,

Please don't muddy up this thread with off-topic tangents.

4.706b patch has been just published - it brings a number of improvements for the Arado jet bomber model and systems. Also, you can now select Arado in AQM mission mode.

So looking forward to the Arado in AQM! Loading up now. Cheers

There are some interesting wings details you don't often get to see in vintage pictures.

It's outside, near the restoration hangar?

Three of the BlitzPigs, including myself are going to be at the Museum, the 15th through the 17th. July.

Interesting in the first pic you can see the inclined runway where B29 STO experiments were done.

  Notes

      1. AR 234 Cockpit Photo added...........for all those important numbers......yeah, that's the ticket.

      2. AR 234 rudder pedal animation is now c/w rudder deflection. No longer reversed.

Yay! How about the cockpit photo in the Me-262 - is it back again? Away from my gaming machine so can’t check yet

Back to the Arado...

I've really liked the bailout animation of the P-39 & DeHavilland Mosquito-doors and all and wondered about it with the Arado 234 so I tried it yesterday with semi pleasing results:

First the top hood released itself and was swallowed by the fuselage & somehow jettisoned  through the body of the aircraft. Next the pilot faced one hell of a headwind and in seconds donned his late war goggles. Next and this part I really like he took a risky dive over the port side slipping between the fuselage and the wing mounted jet engine. finally he opened his parachute at presumably a low enough speed and is last seen floating down to welcoming G.I.s he so recently bombed.

All this happened remarkably quickly & I have to admit fun to see esp. in slow motion!

Arado pilots had this included with their standard outfit:

Sadly, no. Least ways I couldn't find it........and that much smooth skin is just something I wouldn't ordinarily misplace.

Gun jams seem more frequent in FC since update.  Also landing gear seems to "repair" in tech chat even after soft landings.

The rate of misfires (there are no jams in FC) has not changed. It's a plane config file setting.

That's to simulate ground crew kicking the tyres and giving a thumbs up.

Well...several others have also noticed the increased occurrence of gun jams since the update.

Maybe the ammo is defective?  Causing more " misfires".....

No, sorry, nothing of the sort was changed anywhere.

Getting CTD with the patch so I tried to enter offline and could not do so as game says to install latest version.  Game is 4.706b.  I haven't read anything about others with this issue.  Any thoughts or if I wanted to reinstall patch, not sure how I'd do that as it auto installs when I boot game.

Ah nevermind...I get the dunce cap today.  Rebooted and all is fine.  I haven't had to do that with other updates.

Getting constant CTD since the last patch and SRS integration is also busted.

How to reproduce the crash? Can you send me your crash dumps?

Heads up, more people in FC are thinking misfires, and resulting gun jams are occurring more frequently since this update...

Thank you for your report! There is a problem with limitation of number of misfires per ammo loadout, we're working on it.
