Screen info column help, PLEASE...

On the right edge of my screen used to be small colored circles appearing and disappearing giving information like autopilot on, flaps angle, auto adjusted throttle etc.  I nuked my original "great battles" install (Duhhhh....) and downloaded and installed it again.  Everything runs fine now except the information on the right edge is no longer there.  Can't seem to get it back.  I've searched so much for an answer, my computer threatened to slap me if I search more.  I'm sure one of you seasoned veterans can help me.

Those icons are called Technochat. If it's missing and not coming back when you start a new mission, it probably got turned off somehow. In realism settings, make sure "Technochat," second from the bottom in the left column, is checked. If that doesn't do it, try Settings menu-->Flight Interface-->set Ingame Messages to either "Technical" or "Technical and Tips," and make sure "Show HUD by default" is checked.
