I'm thinking about reinstalling the game but am wondering if the servers would be dead. Seems like everyone flies the Eastern Front.

Compared to IL-2 FB or IL-2 FC, no, but I think that's going to change as soon as they release the next version with VR and 4k terrain! I know i'll be giving her another go as there are several aspects of CLoD I like better (the Interface is not one of them.. )..

The "Great Battles" series provides regularly active servers and the "Dover" series doesn't. In the "Dover" series you simply need to announce an appointment at the server of your choice (being precise on the date and the GMT timing). This method is efficient and, most importantly, it is sufficient enough for those who are of good will and love this game. Have fun.
