Resetting the count of game recognized devices?

I am looking at investing in a better throttle. I have swapped out sticks, throttles and rudders in the past and it has caused my device count to increase. Will the procedure below also reset the device numbers to default and allow me to remap my controls with a clean slate?

From the manual:

"USER PROFILE: This subsection allows you to undo any changes you have made to the game screen. To do this, click on the Reset interface settings button. A dialog box will open, asking you to confirm your decision. A restart of the game will be required if any changes to the Customization section or Language setting are made with this option. Once you have completed your changes in the Game section, be sure to click on the Accept button at the bottom of the screen to apply your changes. To reset all the settings on this screen to their default values first, click on the Default button and then on the Accept button. Otherwise, click on the Cancel button to undo all changes you have made. A restart of the game will be required if any changes to the Customization section or Language setting are made."

Go in the game folder > Data > Input and rename or delete the file "Devices.txt" for clear the register of previous used controllers (joystick, throttle, etc).

Just to make sure that I understand you correctly. Are you saying that if I rename "Devices.txt", then launch the game, that a new "Devices.txt" will be created, giving me all the default keymap settings and allow me to remap my controls as if it were a clean install?

For reset assignments use the "Default" in Keybinds (game GUI).

Rename "Devices.txt" is for clear the information of controllers - joystick, throttles... previous used, what may prevent a new controller work correctly.
