Frequent Game Crashes and BSOD in VR Since Recent Update

I've been using VR with IL-2 for around 4 years without much issue.

 

But in the past week I can't seem to fly more than about an hour max without the game just abruptly shutting down mid-flight. So, about 5 times per typical evening session. And at least once per evening it will crash my entire PC, with this BSOD message:

 

"Kmode exception not handled"

 

This does not ever happen in DCS or any other VR game, although I don't play those nearly as much. One three-hour VR session in DCS recently = no crashes.

 

It happened twice while I was recording game tracks, and when I tried to re-play those tracks later (not in VR) it crashed the game again, immediately. Other tracks work fine. I could upload those track files here, but I see that trk files aren't listed in "accepted file types" for this forum. And the size limit too.

 

I fly almost exclusively in multi-player, so I can't say if it happens in single-player or not.

 

Tried verifying game files thru Steam and it does add some, but then it still happens again.

 

I'm not even sure if this forum is the correct / only way to report a problem to the developer. Please advise. Thanks.
