USB/Audio issues in IL-2 VR - Need Help

I am experiencing a weird issue in IL-2 VR  - and only in IL-2 VR, (it doesn't happen in other VR games and it doesn't happen in 2D mode). After the game has been running fine for a period of time (5-20 minutes) the audio cuts out and one of my two USB controllers (Thrustmaster joystick) is completely unresponsive. Also, if I open the USB Game Controller console, it is not responsive.  This happens every time lately...

I have:

Odyssey Plus Headset
WMR
SteavVR
Windows 10
AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT

I've reinstalled WMR, SteamVR and verified IL-2 files but problem  persists.

I'm stumped. Any insight, suggestions would be welcome.

Go to device manager and set all your USB controllers to "don't sleep" under each USB controller's settings' tab "energy management". Don't confuse this with the gaming controllers, I'm talking USB controllers ;)

The terms are an approximation, I'm looking at a German Windows client here.

Also set your energy setting to "high performance" in Windows as well.

These two settings will disallow the controllers to start sleeping upon thinking they haven't received input for a while.

Thanks for your suggestion. I had actually tried this procedure previously but still encounter USB/audio freeze in IL-2 VR.

Emphasize, this issue only seems to happen in IL-2 VR and did not happen for the first months of playing. I don't experience this issue or anything similar with other VR games.

Perhaps I should try a full IL-2 reinstall?

Yes, audio is USB w/ headset. Will try with USB logger.

Thanks. Appreciate everyone's suggestions.

Per other's tips, I have ordered a a powered USB hub ordered, but again, issue is strangely only in IL-2 VR.

USB logger only logs plugs and unplugs. Audio cut out again with no log entry.
