453=Thornley Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 (edited) Problem, AI crewmen either do nothing or do their jobs without relaying any information back to the pilot. This makes flying on high-realism multiplayer servers very difficult. An audible system of passing information to the pilot would be great but would be a massive amount of work. A simple text base system would be easier to do, would satisfy 90% of players and would improve the immersion of the game. Suggestion, For Navigator - On pressing a selected key on any aircraft with a navigator, a text message should appear telling the pilot his current location on the map. Something like, "Navigator to Pilot, current location 1411 Keypad 7, bearing 157 degrees" For Gunners - A) Any time a new bandit closes within the distance that the gunner starts aiming, a message should appear notifying the pilot. Something like, "Gunner to Pilot, new bandit, 4 O'clock high, 2km out and closing slowly". B) On pressing a selected key, the gunner should tell the pilot the number of bandits and the position of the closest one. Something like, "Gunner to Pilot, two Bandits, closest is 7 O'clock level, 1km out and receding fast" This is the sort of information that real Navigators and Pilots would be passing to their pilots. JonRedcorn Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 AI wingmen need a total rework IMO. This games got by far the weakest AI in any flightsim I've ever played and its a real bummer cause the games great otherwise. 5
