About the simshaker jetpad and a buttkicker

Hello everyone. I bought a jeatpad two years ago and I am very happy with it. Now, I want to add a mini buttkicker attached to the joystick base- My question is, is it necessary to buy a software apart from the Simshaker wings, which I obviously have installed in my PC?

You do not need additional software.  You will need a separate USB sound card ($15 on Amazon) to connect to the buttkicker amplifier.  The Simshaker software allows for both a JetPad and a Buttkicker to run simultaneously.  Check out these forums, there are several on how to wire it and use settings to complement the strengths of each..

I have both and think that they are great! Actually, I now run two separate buttkickers, one of which is connected to the low frequency effects channel of my Home Theater surroundsound through which I also have a subwoofer – that way, for flack that goes off right next to me and other things that give a low frequency signal without haptic signal from the game, it's still shakes my rig. I have Andrzej's jet seat running as well as a separate butt kicker connected to Sim shaker as well. I have the butt kicker on the bottom of the rig doing the effects from the engine, the landing gear, and ground bumps. I have the jet seat doing all the other effects – it is nice  that gives more definition between specific haptic feedback. The jet seat is super as you feel the G-effects in your seat pad only, and even left or right seat pad depending upon which direction you are rolling while you pull, whereas the negative G's are felt only at your shoulders  when you push forward. Having things split up between multiple shakers lets your body tell what the difference is. And having just vibrations through the whole rig from the engine gives a feeling of "life" to any airplane that you were flying, whether it be jet or propeller. What is absolutely fabulous is running the DCS UH-1 Huey helicopter – the effects are fantastic as the blades start to spin and you get the "chop chop" that gets faster and faster and faster shaking your whole seat as the engine  and drivetrain starts spinning to speed.
