Recurrent loss of controls [PROBLEM SOLVED]

A fellow player in a French-language forum regularly encounters one problem in "Cliffs of Dover": the loss of some controls in the game.

 

His install runs a Windows 11 operative system and his peripheral hardware is a desktop PC with directly-plugged USB keyboard, directly-plugged USB CH Pro Pedals and directly-plugged USB X52 HOTAS (thus, no use of a USB hub).

From time to time he loses controls in the game and especially the HOTAS throttle. When checking in the Windows software the HOTAS works normally... but not in the game.

 

He already unistalled and reinstalled the game and updated the HOTAS drivers, but the problem keeps coming back regularly.

 

He disabled the Steam input and the problem persists.

 

The problem affects the controls themselves, if for example the throttle disappears during an in-game session, both the mapped keys in the keyboard and the physical throttle in the HOTAS will be affected by the loss of the throttle in the game.

 

Any help?

Has he got power saving enabled in the USB ports? 

 

I have mine set to "Never Sleep", may be worth a look?

No he hasn't... so the source that causes the problem is somewhere else.

 

Any other suggestion?

I just learned the guy was running a version older than 4.5 (he wasn't using the Blitz install). He updated his game up to the Blitz version and now, apparently, everything is ok with him.
