Logitech Extreme 3D Joystick w/ COD Blitz Issues

Hello,

I'm having a bit of a problem getting STEAM COD Blitz to recognize my Logitech joystick. This setup works fine with IL2 Stalingard, but the stick is not recognized inside COD Blitz. I've used the Joystick Manager to configure the stick, all seems well, and then save the settings. When I check my My Documents/COD folder, I do see a confuser.ini file, with a proper timestamp of my changes.

But when I launch COD Blitz, the stick is not all all recognized, nor are there any joystick/axes settings under 'Controls', just normal keyboard entries. 

I just have a sense that there confuser.ini is not found, or in the correct location.

 

Don't understand how the setup works wonderfully in in IL2 Stalingrad, but nothing at all in Steam's COD Blitz. Certainly appreciate any help with his problem. Thanks.

Hi mrflight107,

 

try checking your Steam settings. Especially Steam cloud and Steam controller. If they are enabled, try disabling them.

Windows will quite often change the ID numbers for peripherals arbitrarily.

 

Also, sometimes the ordering which Windows has for joysticks/peripherals can play havoc.  If your primary joystick is not #1 on the list of peripherals, it can affect it being recognized.

 

And finally, Windows will sometimes shut down power to a USB port arbitrarily, (which is the link to your joystick) which can cause the joystick to not be recognized or to be recognized as a different peripheral.  Make sure Windows does not have the option to shut down power to a USB port.
