DFW C.V turret shooting ...

Tried shooting balloons with the turret canon ....  It's nearly impossible as it won't aim upwards far enough it seems. Is this a buggy situation?

Midair start, set auto pilot and switch to gunner position, then wait for the ephalunts to come in to gun view:
