Main screen rotating aircraft

This is a really minor thing for a totally impressive simulator but I wonder how easy it would be to make the last aircraft you flew be the aircraft that loads on the main screen in single player? I know it works online. Seems a fairly simple thing (said the guy who knows nothing about making mods)

The last plane I flew in Single Player appears in the hangar the next time I start the game. I have the Steam Edition.

What he is talking about is, if you play offline, so without internet connection (not MP), the aircraft in your hangar is always the IL-2, when you start the game.

I didn't know that. I have the 1C install and it does not do that. It does however display the last plane flown after you've loaded the game and flown a mission. Maybe someone will chime in. I'm wondering if it's something on my end.

So it's not my end, it's just the way the game is.

Okay. With Steam I need to be connected to access my 1C account linked content anyhow. What's interesting is if I switch PCs the last plane selected shows on the next PC.

It's a nice place to show off some of those cool custom skins. Admittedly a small thing but still would be cool. I play it a lot offline mostly because I couldn't fly my way out of a paper bag. When I get better I'll try some multiplayer. I do use career mode online and it works fine in that.

Have you ever used the IL-2 Viewer in the game's main folder? I didn't know about it until last week when I started painting my own skins. It's a pretty cool yet unadvertised feature.

I have used it because sometimes I put the skin in the wrong aircraft folder and get a scrambled surprise when I pick the plane and skin in game!

No, you don't. I am using Steam, too, with most content purchased on the IL-2 website, and I often played with Steam and the game in OFFLINE mode, when no internet connection was available.

Yes it does. Once you load a mission of any kind, the last aircraft you flew is in the hanger.

Only when you restart the game the IL2 aircraft returns.

(For me at least) if you play in online mode it loads the last plane you flew when you start the game. Haven't played in offline mode in ages (I have auto sign in) so I haven't seen the IL-2 in forever.

Strange, I always get the last aircraft I flew in any game mode in the hangar, even after I restart the game - even after I update the game, in fact!

I'm thinking it must be something with my install. I first purchased the game about a year ago and haven't had to reinstall yet.

When you play offline? In online mode it is like you say, but not if the game is offline. When you restart the game offline, it doesn't remember, which aircraft you were flying in your last mission in your last session.
