-250H-Ursus_ Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 (edited) Its been 2 or almost 2 years since last DM revision. I am curious when is going to be the next revision, i read something a few DDs ago about plans to do a revision after full Battle of Normandy release. In my honest opinion, if is that the case i hope BoN is soon to full release. Off course, i would like to talk about what i think about current DM but would end in a list of complains, complains which i don't have tracks to support my arguments. Anyway is not so hard get tracks of that, but would need to coordinate with ppl to get everything and is a tedious thing, and i think most things i have to say are already been reported. In any case, i get that Dev team is hands full in Normandy now. So i do not pretend miracles. Keep the healthy discussion guys. Damage Model discussions always ends in a fight Edited May 27, 2022 by -332FG-Ursus_ 2
1PL-Husar-1Esk Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 FC wings damage model should be fixed after drop tanks as devs said. This is priority for all ww1 genre enthusiasts. 3
Roland_HUNter Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Yes, Jason said they will fix it. I think we all can agree, a Hurricane wing what can survive 8-10 MK-108 is a little bit....

And they are not the same problems, they are random and not all behave the same. 190s as well have the same issue for example but i don't have tracks, i have tons of screenshots but not tracks. Later i will do some tracks of all planes if someone gives me a hand. But is a bit tedious. Edited May 27, 2022 by -332FG-Ursus_ 1 2

357th_KW Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Hopefully we'll see some progress on this after BoN. 6

PreyStalker Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 I don't own the Yak 9, but I know it can absorb an insane amount of 20mm cannon rounds. Unless you kill the pilot, that thing just keeps on trucking... DM has always seemed fishy right from its release. No video but just fight one in Quick Missions and you'll see what I mean. Many planes seem able to absorb too many cannon rounds. It's almost like there is initial damage and then no more. I hope DM gets revised soon too. It's probably a nightmare though to get it right across all the different plane types.

=RS=EnvyC Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 In what server are you flying against Hurris with a plane with a 30mm?

I'm searching the stats pages of CB and Finnish but am having trouble finding a single instance of a Hurricane getting hit with mk108s in the "aircraft stats" section. Do you have an example of a Hurricane surviving 8-10 hits from a Mk 108? Or did it kill the Hurricane, but your issue is that the wing was still attached?
CountZero Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Maybe its easyer to list airplanes who dont have strange DM ? 1

Hitcher Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 None of those aircraft can fly without a vertical stabiliser and atleast 1 horizontal stabiliser. The hurricane can go a distance before it flops out, then you get the 109 which can not only fly without a vertical stabiliser but can fight to an extent without one. Hammer the a20s tail and all the flight surfaces will pop off like chaff, if it hasnt exploded yet. 3
Jooyz Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 (edited) i think the correct way to talk about DM issue is to say that there is a problem with both side planes not only axis or allied, and not to take a side on this problem like some of you are doing above. I have had this kind of moments playing as axis and as allied so i hope we will have an answer about this topic that is important. Edited June 7, 2022 by Jooyz 1 4

Personal bias in WW2 Sims is a problem always when this topics are touched. And personal biases opinions, usually ends to derail the original subject or ends in worst things, like accusations of try to sabotage a side in particular. That always happens, but, as i said. Is simple as fly everything and do test in everything. Then one notices the problems in the general aspect. 1
CountZero Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 I expect dm revisions to happend after they finish fuel/drop tank system, so maybe next year ? 1
